Gold Coast Must-do Activities

Dreamworld - Gold Coast Must-do Activities - The Broadview

What’s this I hear? Swimming, surfing, sun and sand on the Gold Coast are not enough for you? Far be it from me to judge, but that does sound close to idyllic… are you sure that’s not enough?

Well, if you are looking for something else to keep yourselves or your small people active and entertained, there are a plethora of activities available on the Gold Coast. Here are just a few options below.

Theme Parks

Ok, so we are going with the obvious first. Well known for its theme parks, the Gold Coast boasts Sea World, Wet and Wild, Movie World and Dreamworld.

These are a short drive from the main centre of the Gold Coast, but well worth it!

Other Activities

Closer to home, and in the centre of the activity, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not in Surfer’s Paradise is a firm favourite with the adults and families alike.

While younger ones or young at heart will love the thrilling and mind-bending world of Infinity in the middle of Surfer’s Paradise mall.

Just up the road a little bit, Q1’s SkyPoint Observation Deck gives you an incredibly fast lift ride to panoramic views of the Coast and Hinterland from the highest vantage point. For the adventurous, you can also book a SkyPoint Climb above the Observation Deck if the weather is fine.

Sports

Are sports your thing? Why not try a spot of Golf at the PGA course at Royal Pines Resort? It’s received international attention and the word is that it’s a great course.

Top Shot is a newer attraction. This golf driving range, come family entertainment, come bar and club precinct (after dark of course) is a flying favourite.

On a smaller scale, there are many mini golf courses dotted around the coast – Miami, Surfer’s Paradise, Broadbeach, just to name a couple. They really are everywhere!

Water Sports floating your boat? Try Jetboating, or the Aquaduck Land and Water Adventures leaving from Surfer’s Paradise.

For something slightly more sedate, whale watching is always popular in the right season. The whales seem to enjoy this as much, if not more, than the tourists on the boat!

If the whales aren’t out, spend a day in the paradise of Moreton Island. Pristine, untouched beaches, nature walks, sand tobogganing, it’s all happening.

Relax and Enjoy

Time to chill out after an active day? Lunch cruises, sunset dinner cruises or champagne cruises around the broad water are just the thing. Mainly leaving from the Sheraton Mirage Marina, enjoy a relaxing drink and take in the view!

Whatever your preference is, there’s an activity for you on the Gold Coast. Visit us today!
